The Directorate General Management for Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission has launched the ENTREPRISE EUROPE NETWORK (EEN). The EEN offers to small and medium enterprises (SME) information and advice concerning policies and business opportunities at the EU Member States, as well as assistance in the processes of technological transfer and the access to European programs of funding, Research, Development and Innovation (R&D).
Erik Network is a network formed by 52 regions, led by the Italian regions of Toscana and Emilia-Romagna, which focuses on cooperation in innovation in the framework of an economy based on growth.
The European Association of Agencies for Regional Development (EURADA) is a non-profit-making organization composed of Regional Development Agencies from 25 countries of the European Union, Central and Eastern Europe. Under the coordination of Tuscany Region, the Euro MedSys project proposes innovative solutions for an economic cooperation between Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean Se, that are linked to the traditional economy of Food and Mediterranean Habitat. Thanks to the establishment of an Euro-Mediterranean Advanced Services Network based on quality and excellence, the project partners facilitate the partnership between SMEs form the Mediterranean area. 12 Mediterranean regions are joined in the aim of reaching an area of economic prosperity in the Mediterranean space.
The Network of Innovating Regions of Europe net (IRE) is a platform for collaboration and exchange of experiences of regional policies in the field of innovation. The network is opened to all European Union regions, as well as regions form Central and Eastern Europe involved and aware within the development of their innovative capacities.
It is an Intergovernmental Organization that currently has 24 Member States (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Slovakia, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey). In the near future six new countries will become members of the European Patent Agreement (Slovenia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania). The executive body of the European Patent Organization -the European Patent Office - has its headquarter office in Munich, in addition to an office at The Hague and sub offices in Berlin and Vienna. The OEP, in cooperation with the national patent offices of the member states, supports a network of information centers on Patents ("PATLIB Centers") all over Europe.
The Cross-border Network of Services to Enterprises (ReTSE) is a project promoted by the Andalusian Regional Ministry of Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment, through the Agency of Innovation and Development of Andalusia IDEA, with the collaboration of the "Conseil Régional Tanger-Tétouan" and financed jointly by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within in the framework of the "Interreg III A Spain – Morocco" initiative. The major aim of this network is to promote business relations between Andalusia and Morocco, especially within the northern region.
It is a non-governmental organization founded in 1995, in Geneva, Switzerland. WAIPA acts like a forum so the Investment Promotion Agencies can exchange information about their best practices for promoting and attracting investments in their respective countries. In addition, WAIPA puts at the disposal of its associates different technical assistance mechanisms in order to improve investment promotion strategies.
